Cyanotype Blue Meridian Tank
Cyanotype Blue Meridian Tank
Cyanotype is a technique originally invented for photography that Maison Markosian has adapted for use on fabric. We dye these shirts in a darkroom, wait for them to dry, and expose them to sunlight. Exposure to natural sunlight causes a chemical reaction with the cyanotype dye, producing a uniquely vivid blue hue. Due to the handmade nature of these shirts, each dyejob turns out a little different, so please expect some minor variation between the shirt pictured here and the shirt you receive.
These shirts are made in the USA from 300 GSM 100% cotton rib knit fabric. Please consult our size chart carefully- we do not accept returns or exchanges on these pieces. We recommend washing these shirts inside out in cool water and tumble drying them on low heat. PLEASE note that while stunning, cyanotype is a delicate dye-- washing these shirts in detergent containing high levels of phosphates or sodium, wearing them with natural deodorant, and dry cleaning them will irreparably damage the color.
